How To Make Money With Niche Marketing

By Gauher On June 23, 2010 Under Internet Marketing

Watch the video below.

I will show exactly how you can start generating money with free traffic and specific niches.

Video Niche Marketing

Here are the steps that I outlined in the video above:

1. Find a specific niche to market in. Do research on Clickbank or Google Insights to see what niches are currently hot. Try to get into specific niches rather than broad markets because there is less competition and better chance to get better rankings.

2. Build a simple web site using a silo structure related around your niche. A silo structured site is simply a web site that has content in various directories. The major search engines like to see pages with good content “deep-linked” into your site. Make sure that you name the folders with keywords that you would like to target. You can get free articles to build your web site from Ezine Articles or GoArticles.  Don’t worry about the duplicate content rule. It is a myth. All it means is that don’t have the SAME content on the same domain. You can download an example of a silo site that I created for the Rachael Ray market right here.

3. Create (3) Squidoo lenses with your keywords that you want to create back links on for your web site. Create lenses that offer value and quality. This will help as you will be contributing within the Squidoo community and will increase interest in your lenses. Try using your anchor keywords in the links back to your web site. The major search engines will see this and that will help you score points for those keywords.

4. Place contextual ads on your web site. There are tons of services that you can monetize your web sites with. You should test to see which contextual service brings back you the most money. Try using an ad serving tools such as the free OpenX to serve and test your contextual ads. Here is a list of just a few below:

Google Adsense http://adsense.google.com
Valueclick http://www.valueclick.com
Kontera http://www.kontera.com
Pulse360 http://www.pulse360.com
Adbrite http://www.adbrite.com
Chikita http://chitika.com

Clicksor http://www.clicksor.com
Contextweb http://www.contextweb.com
Bidclix http://www.bidclix.com
Bidvertiser http://www.bidvertiser.com
RevenuePilot http://www.revenuepilot.com

5. Collect your commissions. Enjoy the rewards of your efforts. Taking action is the key. Offer value and the money will follow. Trust me.

6. Rinse and repeat process. It doesn’t stop here. If you can get one niche making you $1,000 a month on autopilot, you can get 10 different ones to do the same. Don’t expect to start making a million dollars overnight with various niche sites. Learn how to generate that first $1 and then continue to repeat the process. Most of all – be patient. Your efforts will pay off.

Download the PDF flowchart of this process below for reference:

Hey Gauher – Great post and its quite amazing how these small niche sites make a small but regular and consistent income.

I started building sites because I love building wp blogs and I also came across the CWS which is very similar and seems to be a great product.
I also came across Adam Short’s product but I was under the impression that they were teaching how to build sites and monetize them through clickbank or something similar.

But I suppose they are all niche sites, so the same idea works.

Tell me Gauher, Is the Open Source X Ad serving platform easy to load up and use.

Anyway – Many thanks for the content and the pointers, always great.

    Best to you and family,
    hope Shaan is well.

    Take care

    Hi Gauher,

I am curious to now how you built the list of 3000 plus in your example. I’ve been looking through your site and I do not see an opt in anywhere?

Hi Hamant, OpenX takes some time to learn, but once you get it, it is really amazing what it can do (i.e. geo target).

It was on the homepage before the resign. My graphic artists still has to put the opt-in form back. We also used Traffic Regenerator to grab opt-ins.

let me say you a big Thanks for your realistic way to see and handle the theme. This is for a long time, I´d tried to find out a way for getting access to this specific theme,- probably one of the first time I realy can understand the few ways to get traffic, backlinks and at least a steady earnings. Your description of building sites will help me like a Blueprint!
So, keep on going! All the best for you and especially for your son Shaan!

Great content I enjoyed reading it I would have 1 thing to add instead of using Squidoo lenses how about Hubpages.com in my opinion Hubpages is way better. Squidoo is becoming more and more unfriendly to Internet marketers.

    Great post!

I think your website looks real sharp, including the fold-down section on the upper left. Did you use a standard web template – if so, which one?

Great Post. Using Niche sites is really a great way to make moeny online. If you can find a specific keyword phrase that can sell and that doesn’t have big competition, you can make money from that for a long time and make a steady income.

Good introductory article on niche marketing, although there is a lot more to it than what you discussed. A lot of emphasis should be placed on getting quality backlinks to your site from a diversity of sites, i.e. no just Squidoo but hubpages as well.

I like your point on making that first $1 and taking it from there – good advice!

I’d just like to point something out about this post…

THIS is how you affiliate market in the IM space!

There’s an affiliate link to someone else’s niche marketing program in there. Do I mind? Heck no! Why? Because first Gauher GAVE before asking us to check out the program he chose to promote. He didn’t hit us over the head with sales copy. In fact there was NO sales copy at all. Just absolutely rock solid useful and actionable information.

Gauher, as always you set the bar for where marketers in the “make money online” space should be, but usually aren’t.

    Kudos my friends… you rock.

    Gauher -

As said in my past comment, I’m actually going to try this method out. Let me ask, how much keyword research do you do for a given website… and how do you decide which KWs to target?

I’ve launched one niche website in the past but didn’t get much traffic. Finding those elusive “medium traffic, low competition” KWs seems about as likely as finding a 2headed unicorn. Suggestions?
