I was down in Santa Clara last week to speak at the Internet Income Summit. It was a three day Internet marketing event and I spoke on two of days on the topic of CPA marketing with PPC and PPV traffic.

While I was in California, I decided to take a tour of all major Internet companies and saw where Yahoo, Google and Facebook have firmly planted their roots.

With the number of dot com companies all over Silicon Valley, I can see why people move here because the motivation to create a dot com success is definitely here.

The Google complex is massive with over 40 different buildings that house their tens of thousands of employees.  To think that a company that only started about 10 years ago could go on to become one of the largest companies in the world is credit to Google for doing something right.

On the other hand, Yahoo seems to be a company with no clear direction. Their facility is nowhere near the size of Google`s and it looks like they are struggling to find their purpose now that they have inked a deal with Microsoft to have Bing.com power their natural search results.

Above is a picture of me standing behind one of the many Google signs placed outside each building.

I did get a chance to stop by and meet with Revenueloop.com, which is a CPA network that I have been working with for years.  Their office was located directly across from Google, so that in itself is motivation enough to grow. ;)

Leave your comments on your experiences in Silicon Valley.

It is amazing to think that none of these companies would exist if it wasn’t for the Internet.

    Best wishes,

    Gauher

    3. Amazing place to visit and the people are also so friendly.

      Sam :)

    4. Next time you’re in town Gauher, be sure to drive up north and visit YouTube in San Bruno (used to be the old Gap HQs), and Twitter and Yelp in the City.

Bay Area is truly the tech capital of the world.

    5. Hey Gauher,

      That’s pretty cool man.

Did you get the chance to go inside the Google head quarters and manage to get some classified information haha?

      Regards,

      Alex

    6. I’m planning a trip down there later in the year. I think it is a place any Internet entrepreneur needs to visit.

I’m still in Toronto if you want to meet up.

    7. Gauher,
It was great to have met you at the Summit and I, too, learned some great things to apply to my blog. I left on another trip this past weekend to North Carolina (and the retreat didn’t have Internet access) to see the author SARK. And now I’m hosting a Square Foot Gardening conference in my home town here in Newark, Ohio. Whew! What an August. So I haven’t blogged much these past couple of weeks, but watch out next week! I am certain that I will look back on this month as being transformational for both me and my business.

    8. Hi Gauher

You are one of the few marketers whose e-mail I always check out. Hope the event went well for you. Thanks for the different tips and links you have sent out.

The trip to Google must have been one to remember.

      Cheers

      Julian.

    9. Gauher ~

Thank you again, for taking the time to be at the Internet Income Summit, it was a true pleasure meeting you and learning from you at the summit!

Without a doubt, from the founder of the Internet Income Summit Srini Saripalli’s comments and support of you to all of the attendees, your presence was the highlight, and your students that attended the summit that are making money online on a daily basis after learning from you says it all.

      Thank you my friend.

Best of success to you always, you earned it!

      Sincerely,

      Motie Omari

    10. Hi Gauher,

Great to see you out here Gauher, enjoyed your talks at Srini’s event. You always get me fired up to try new things plus get going with more of what I already know works.

Glad you made the trip out to see us!

    11. Well having lived here all my life, I’m a wee bit biased. ;)

But I will say that there are definitely REASONS why we pay the insane amounts we do to live here. With what I already make online, I could live the life of a KING in most of the rest of the world (even just the USA!) whereas here in the valley, I’m middle class.

It was fantastic to see you Gauher, so glad you could drop by with the family and see the house. You guys are all welcome back here any time!

      Jonathan

    12. Thank you for the good energy you always share with the people. Do you have more pictures to share?

      Thanks

      Claudio

    13. Hello Gauher,
      Been a while.

You look good on that Google Logo!

I was watching a program on the BBC the other day about Google Offices in London and how they dont have the corporate style desks and boardrooms , instaed they have deck chairs to make you feel like you were at the seaside “having fun”

Boy those guys working for Google at least here in London must be having a Ball.

      Anyway hope you are well!

I have been popping in on your webinars, and enjoying them as usual.

Great stuff. Have a great time and pass my best to your lovely wife and your Dad.

      Hamant

Ps . Not planning a trip to London?

    14. Anthony Greentree

      Gauher,

Congratulations on being so successful and helping many people along the way. That picture of you next to the Google Sign is certainly an achievement in itself. I will aim now to achieve the same in my online career. I wish you even more success in your life and thank you for being such a great mentor for online marketing.

      Kind Regards, Anthony Greentree (downunder)

    15. Hi Gauher,
it was nice to read about your experiences in Silicon Valley. The reputation and spirit of the area is certainly one-of-a-kind and good.

It is good that some of us, have been there and give speach of CPA Marketing, the Impact of it is positive. It show that those who use it do serious work to try to give impressions, that internet can be used in real, true and so on …

My experience has to do with professional communications, correspondence and exchange of material in projects to make it certain that some that some techniques was used as told by authority, ie. national bodies. These considerations come up when large-scale impact is at stake. The truth that marketing support the organization, see Search Engine Optimization as defending outside communication, website optimization, intranet/extranet as protecting internal communication.

      Very good work, go on…

You could underscore during lecture, also importance of marketing in strategic planning as corporation could use it, or even B2G Public servers could achieve quality in results, through marketing in general.

      Thank You, Lennie

    16. How many Google Buildings are there?

    17. Hi Gauher,
