I have to admit that when it comes to blog design – I suck.
For the last two years I had been using some freebie WordPress theme that screamed out “amateur” to anyone who visited this blog.
Whenever I wanted to make any simple changes to the blog theme, I found myself trying to find my way through the PHP scripts to make any changes.
I must have wasted hours trying to figure out how to manipulate various themes and many times I just gave up and moved onto something else.
And my blog still looked basic.
It really didn’t matter to me at the time because I wasn’t writing too much on my blog, but as traffic slowly increased over time to this blog, I decided that a major makeover was needed.
I started looking at other major blogs and I was really impressed with the design of some of them. I started looking around at services that could take my blog and redo it with my own personal theme that looked much more professional.
The further I looked, the more I realized how expensive this was going to get with some services charges as much as $5,000 for a unique personal theme.
Ouch.
I ended up coming across a product created by a sixteen year-old kid that allowed me to revamp this blog to look the way it does today. (Trust me when I say that this is a major improvement!)
And that is after only spending about 20 minutes playing around with the features. I still haven’t used all the features yet.
What also intrigued me was the SEO features he incorporated into his blog design that allowed him to rank number three for the keywords “make money online” on Google out of over 185 million web sites. I am not sure how he did this, but he credits his blog design plugin called Ultimate Blogging Theme.

Yesterday I recorded my last webinar of the year on how you can make 2011 your most profitable year online to date. Unfortunately I forgot to hit the record button 37 minutes into the presentation (I am notorious for doing this). I ended up rerecording the first 37 minutes and actually cut it down to 23 minutes. I then just merged it with the second half. The webinar gave real practical tips on increasing your revenue for 2011.

I did a webinar earlier today with Greg Davis who is an expert at media buys and shared some of his tips. I had the wrong mic on when I first started the webinar so I sound like I am talking in a phone booth. I quickly fixed this.
