Increase Conversions With A Time Delay Script

Have you ever visited an online sales video only to see the order button appear below the video a few minutes into the sales presentation?

Did you ever wonder how they did that?

Marketing statistics have indicated that the longer the person watches an online sales video, the more receptive they will be to ordering the product.  But how do you get them to watch the sales video if your order button is already visible and they can easily see the price of your product with one click?

I know a lot of people can be turned off by a high-ticket item, but if they had stuck around for a portion of the sales video, they may have realized that it was a deal.

Here is the script on how you can set a time delay before having your order button appear on any page.

Place the following code below between the <head></head> tags on your web page.

<script type=”text/javascript”>
function showIt() {
document.getElementById(“hidden”).style.visibility = “visible”;
}
setTimeout(“showIt()”, 25000); // 1000 is 1 second
</script>

Set how long you want have the prospect watch the video before the order button appears by adjusting the seconds in the script.

Now in the body of your web page where you want he content to magically appear after a certain amount of time, place the following DIV tags.  Place the image or content that you want to magically appear in between the DIV tags.

<div ID=”hidden” style=”visibility: hidden”>
</div>

Ta da!

What I recommend is that you split test a sales page without the script against the page with the script and see which one generates the higher conversions rate.

You may be surprised. 🙂

Extreme Targeting With Pay Per View Traffic

Yesterday I started testing a new CPA campaign by sending pay per view (PPV) traffic from Trafficvance.  One of the most powerful features of bidding on domain targets is that you can match your offers with the most relevant audience.

Generally when promoting a CPA offer, I will immediately start bidding on competitor domains since this is the most targeted traffic that you can possibly get.

Take a look below at the results of a campaign I started testing with just yesterday.

You can see that the total ad spend for this single domain target was $2.94, which managed to get 197 impressions for an average bid price of $0.0149 per impression.

Below are the results of the revenue that was generated from this $2.94 ad spend.

The daily revenue was a whopping $45.10 resulting in a ROI of 1500%.  There are not very many traffic sources that can get you an ROI of 1500% and this just shows the extreme targeting that you an get with PPV traffic.

With this experiment, I was sending the traffic to a rotation of landing pages and measuring which pages were giving me the highest CTR using a software tool called PPV Dominator.  This allowed me to allocate a higher weight to the landing pages that were generating a higher click-thru rate (CTR).

The interesting thing to note is that not all the traffic was going to this offer either. I was rotating multiple landing pages and sending them to multiple CPA offers to see which combination gave me the best results.  So there was a little bit of more revenue from other similar CPA offers that were in the rotation.

By the end of the day, I could determine what landing page and what CPA offer was generating the highest return.  This is how important testing is and most marketers usually do not put this much effort into optimizing their ad campaigns.  I expect today to be even better now that I have started this exact campaign on other PPV traffic sources such as Lead Impact and Media Traffic.  Even if I can get half the results of this campaign on this PPV network, that is still a 750% ROI.

There are so many different ways that this campaign can be scaled out and here are just a few strategies:

1. Add more relevant targets to the campaign

2. Continue to improve the landing page for a higher CTR

3. Ask my affiliate manager for a pay bump once I get the volume of leads much higher

These are just a few tips.

Once again, this is why I love paid traffic.  You can literally buy it on demand.

Traffic Diary #5: Solo Ad With Heimmer Finsson

I purchased a solo ad placement with Heimmer Finsson who runs a solo ad service.  I purchased this at the same time I purchased a solo ad with Igor Keifets.  In this deal I was paying a slightly lower rate of $115 for 200 clicks and sent it to the same opt-in page for my PPC lead funnel at http://www.payperclickformula.com/optin.

Here are the results:

Heimmer ending up sending 318 clicks (118 bonus clicks) and out of these clicks, 54 prospects ended up double opting into my PPC lead funnel.  This means I paid roughly $2.12 a lead, which was almost the same CPA value that I got from Igor’s solo ad service.

I already mentioned that I lead on this particular list has a lifetime value of $10, so once again this was a good deal and I will be purchasing more.

Best wishes,

Traffic Diary #4: Solo Ad With Igor Kheifets

Recently I purchased a solo ad ad from Igor Kheifets to see how well his list would perform with my PPC opt in lead funnel.  I purchased the smallest package, which was $125 for 200 clicks.

I was sent people to the opt-in page at http://www.payperclickformula.com/optin, which is a lead generator for my higher end PPC training course.

The opt-in rate for this page before I bought the solo ad from Igor was around the 20% mark. (Yes, there is plenty of room for improvement!)

Here are the results of my $125 solo ad with Igor.

Igor ended up sending me 333 clicks (123 extra clicks) and brought in 60 double opt-in subscribers to my funnel.  So I roughly paid about $2.08 per subscriber which is a good deal considering the lifetime value of a prospect on this list is about $10.

The opt-in rate for this solo ad campaign worked out to about 18%, which is slightly less than the average.  I felt that this was a fairly good result and will be purchasing one of Igor’s bigger solo ad packages soon. So Igor’s solo ad service gets my two thumbs up.

I will be working to improve the squeeze page to get a better opt-in rate and a better bang for my buck.

Traffic Diary #3: SoloAdAdvertising.com

Recently I joined a web service SoloAdAdvertising.com, which allows you buy solo ads that go out to their network of email members.

These sites cater to biz ops, work at home and make money niches.  I decided to join and purchase a package to gauge the quality of the traffic.  I ended up purchasing 25 solo ads for $97.  This gives me an opportunity to mail the network 25 times.

Here are the results of this traffic experiment:

I sent out one solo ads for my pay per click opt-in list at http://www.payperclickformula.com/optin.  The strategy is to put people in the lead funnel for my Pay Per Click Formula course at http://www.payperclickformula.com.  The average opt-in rate on this squeeze page is about 22.0%.

The first and only solo ad that I sent out has generated 300 clicks with only 2 opt-ins.

So an opt-in rate of 0.66%, which is well below the 22.0% average.

So although the results are pretty depressing, I still have 24 opportunities left to figure out what would work for this type of market.

I may try a CPA offer related to the biz opp make money market and see how well that does.

So I look forward to sharing more results with this traffic service.

Anybody had success with this traffic source? Feel free to comment.

Cheers
